Meet Taylor

Taylor's love for brows started young. Around age 12, she began spending  time examining the brows of models and celebrities in magazines. She struggled with her own brows, as a result of Trichotillomania (a hair-pulling disorder) throughout her teen years and was incredibly anxious and self conscious about them. With years of practice, she learned to fill them in perfectly which was a major relief. However, as many women who fill in their brows know, they can smudge or smear when you least expect it leaving you with an uneven appearance. Swimming and water sports were the worst! After a year of researching and debating having the Microblading procedure done, she went for it! Two words: LIFE CHANGING! After having her eyebrows Microbladed she felt her brow anxiety vanish and her self confidence soared. She decided she needed to help other women achieve this feeling as well. 

Training

After having her own brows microbladed, Taylor researched her options for becoming a trained Microblading Artist. She soon discovered LashForever Canada, one of the beauty industry leaders in Canada. She chose to train with LashForever Canada because they are well recognized in the Brow and Lash industry and they require that their students complete more models than other trainings.  In the Winter of 2019, Taylor took an additional Ombre powder brow training with Brow Beaute Academy in Markham to learn how to use a machine for shading and then took another course with Brow Beaute for nano brows (machine hairstokes). Since then she has taken several other courses with Shay Danielle and Permanent Beauty bi Lilli, who are both Canadian PMU leaders, to learn different techniques for brows and lips for different skin types. Taylor has also completed Botched Ink Saline Brow Removal Course to help fade out old permanent makeup and trained in Brow Lamination for a less permanent brow enhancement. 

New Brows by Tay

Taylor started New Brows by Tay working part-time out of her apartment and has since moved into a wonderful new home studio in central Barrie. She has created a beautiful space in her new home that is inviting and luxurious. Check out the photos in our photo gallery.
