Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic eyebrow tattoo that lasts between 1-2 years before needing a touch up. The timing of a touch up  depends on the individual skin type, how you care for your brows and overall lifestyle. Some people need to have more frequent touch ups to keep their brows looking fresh and some people can stretch their time between touch up appointments beyond  2 years if they have the ideal skin type and follow aftercare well.  

The Process

A permanent makeup session takes approximately 2 hours for the first appointment and is followed by another appointment 6 weeks later that is about an hour long. When you first arrive, Taylor goes over a consultation form with you and then applies the numbing cream. Over the next 20 minutes, Taylor goes over the aftercare process, what to expect, what to do and what not to do and she chooses a pigment that works best for you. After the numbing cream sets in, she maps out and shapes your brows, consults with you and then begins the  permanent makeup process. Additional numbing cream is applied at the half way point to ensure minimal discomfort. After consulting with you once more at the end and making any requested adjustments, you are ready to go! 

Powder Brows and Combo Brows

Powder brows are machine shaded brows that create the look of soft makeup on the brow area. This process is completed using a handheld micropigmentation machine fixed with a single needle cartridge to implant tiny pixilated dots in the brow area to create the look of brow makeup. The appointment usually takes around 2 hours to complete. Best for clients with oily or mature skin. 

Combo brows are the best of both worlds for many! You get the longer lasting shading option of powder brows in combination with some microbladed hair strokes for a more natural look - or if more suitable nano stokes are done with the same machine used for powder brows. The hairstrokes are created with a microblading device which is a handheld tool with a tiny microblade attached to create tiny cuts implanted with pigment (similar to a paper cut) on the brow area to create the look of hairstrokes. Alternatively, nano hairstrokes can be created using the PMU machine using a series of pixilated dots to create the look of fluffy hairstrokes. Taylor can go over what option is best for you at our appointment based on your skin type  and existing hair. This appointment takes around 2 hours to complete.
